Description: We currently ship hatching eggs from several colors of Coturnix quail, with plans to keep our shipped offerings focused on quail for now.
Our homestead is also home to a diverse collection of poultry and waterfowl, including African geese, Sebastopol geese, Khaki Campbell and Pekin ducks, guineas, Black Copper Marans, and several varieties of sex-link chickens. These birds and chicks may be available for local pickup depending on the season and availability.
And our hatching adventures don’t stop with poultry—we even successfully hatched emus this past season!
My wife, Tammy, and I run Motley Farms in Elgin, South Carolina. I’ve been hatching chickens for many years and added Coturnix quail to the farm in 2021. Quail quickly became a favorite, and we’ve enjoyed growing our flock and learning even more along the way.
One of the best parts of raising poultry has been the people we’ve met. When we were getting started, other breeders were incredibly generous with their knowledge and advice, and we try to offer that same help to our customers today.
We’re fortunate to have many repeat customers who keep us busy throughout the year, and there is almost always something hatching each week at Motley Farms.
